Aima Baig faces backlash for performing in Jeddah music night after Umrah
Pakistani singer Aima Baig has faced criticism from netizens following her recent performance at the ‘Pakistan and Indonesia Music Night’ in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, shortly after completing her Umrah pilgrimage.
The event, part of the Jeddah Season, featured a lineup of artists including Bilal Saeed, Rabeeca Khan, and Indonesian singer Lady Rara, drawing a large audience.
Prior to the event, Baig’s announcement had sparked rumors that she was quitting the music industry. However, she clarified that her trip abroad was for work-related reasons.
Baig’s performance in Jeddah was well-received, with the audience captivated by her renditions of popular songs like “Kaif-o-Suroor” and “Mast Malang”.
Despite the positive reception, Baig’s participation in the music show after sharing her Umrah pilgrimage on Instagram elicited mixed reactions from her followers.
During the same visit to Saudi Arabia, Baig had performed the minor pilgrimage before engaging in her work-related activities.
